Chocolate Spoons

I would have to say these pictures of the chocolate spoons have to be some of my favorite. When I shot these the other day everything just worked. I love days like that when everything seems to go your way! Last week we were in London and I came across spoons similar to the ones I have made, in the chocolate department of my new favorite store Liberty of London. They had all sorts of flavours chilli, marshmellow, milk chocolate, dark chocolate and many more. So they were just too cute not to make!

I chose to use dark chocolate with marshmallows and cinnamon. I wanted to use them for hot chocolate and to go in coffee. Of course you could finish them with all sorts of things but I thought I don’t want pieces of coconut or other bits floating in my hot drink. You could definitely use white or milk chocolate, get creative there are so many ways to do these spoons and I think even the kids would have fun making these. They would make a perfect gift for someone, perhaps a house warming or christmas gifts or just keep them for yourself :)

10 spoons
100g dark chocolate
cinnamon
mini marshmallows
Step 1 Line a tray with grease proof paper. Melt chocolate.
Step 2 Dip the spoons into the melted chocolate make sure the chocolate coats the entire spoon well. Place on your lined tray. If you are using marshmallows stick them on now.
Step 3 Place chocolate spoons in the fridge until set about 30 minutes to an hour. If you are using cinnamon, dip into the cinnamon while the spoon is still cold. Tap of an excess cinnamon. Package in clear bags or in a zip lock bag. Keep in a cool place.
Enjoy!

Wow! These pictures are georgeous! I just love your blog – I get so inspired. Just one quick question: where can I get a hold of spoons similar to the ones you´re using?
Thanks! I bought them a while back in a store that had lots of random bits and pieces. Unfortunately I haven’t seen them since. You could buy them from donnahay.com.au or http://www.shopsweetlulu.com which is another online store. I’ll keep a look out for them and if I find them in Norway i’ll let you know :)
oh. so beautiful. and cute. you are really creative.
